ElevenLabs hires Ashley Kramer as chief revenue officer

The voice artificial intelligence startup reaches $600 million in annual recurring revenue as enterprise deployments expand across global corporate accounts.

ElevenLabs has appointed Ashley Kramer as its chief revenue officer, bringing in an enterprise software veteran to lead global sales as the voice artificial intelligence company pushes deeper into corporate deployments.¹²³

The company announced the appointment on September 2, 2026.³ In her new role, Kramer will work directly with international customers deploying speech synthesis systems tailored to local languages and operating contexts.¹

Kramer previously served as chief revenue officer at OpenAI and held executive roles at GitLab, Sisense, Alteryx, and Tableau.⁴⁵ Her hire comes as ElevenLabs reports rapid commercial expansion across large enterprises and consumer platforms.

Enterprise expansion across global accounts

ElevenLabs stated that its annual recurring revenue reached $600 million, serving enterprise customers across 80 countries.² According to figures shared by Kramer, the company's voice technology is currently deployed within 69 percent of Fortune 500 companies.²

Enterprise clients using the platform include Meta, Klarna, Stripe, Hasbro, and Deutsche Telekom.² In public remarks following her appointment, Kramer noted that voice interaction represents a critical operational layer for software adoption across corporate workflows.²⁶

"Many frontier labs are focused on building increasingly intelligent AI," Kramer said.² "But intelligence alone is not enough to drive adoption. AI must also communicate and interact with people in ways that feel natural and human, and that’s what ElevenLabs is focused on."²

The platform currently provides synthetic voice models spanning more than 70 languages, supporting autonomous conversational agents across customer support, sales pipelines, and media production.²⁷

Enterprise software background

Before joining ElevenLabs, Kramer led commercial and marketing operations at several major enterprise software companies.⁵ At OpenAI, she served as chief revenue officer, focusing on enterprise deployments and measurable customer usage rather than broad marketing campaigns.⁴

Speaking with reporter Sharon Goldman at the Fortune Brainstorm Tech conference in September 2025, Kramer outlined her commercial philosophy for advanced artificial intelligence products.⁴

"For us, we want the value to be provided by what we’re actually driving, whether it’s for the customer, or the customer’s customer," Kramer told Fortune at the time.⁴ "For us, it’s all about the usage and the value."⁴

Earlier in her career, Kramer served as interim chief revenue officer and chief marketing and strategy officer at GitLab, where she oversaw product positioning, enterprise data operations, and pipeline generation.⁵ She also held product leadership roles at Alteryx, where she served as senior vice president of product, and Tableau, where she directed the cloud transition as head of cloud.⁵

Kramer holds a Master of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Computer Information Science from Colorado State University and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Old Dominion University.⁵ She also sits on the boards of Seeq Corporation and dbt Labs.⁵

Infrastructure and localized voice models

ElevenLabs has steadily broadened its product portfolio from standalone speech generation to integrated developer tools, telecommunications interfaces, and multilingual conversational infrastructure.

The company recently introduced its Eleven v3 and Flash v2.5 models, designed to support real-time conversational streaming with latency under 500 milliseconds.⁷ Its voice library now includes over 11,000 community and studio voices, alongside licensing agreements with major entertainment intellectual property holders such as Hasbro.⁷³

In international operations, the company has expanded regional offices in London, established European initiatives in Poland and Spain, and launched dedicated public sector partnerships with the British government.³ In May 2026, the company crossed $500 million in annual recurring revenue while adding new institutional and strategic backers, including BlackRock and NVIDIA.³

Chief executive Mati Staniszewski welcomed Kramer to the executive team as ElevenLabs accelerates its push into regulated industries, financial services, and retail operations.²
